Role:

* To supervise daily site activities in ensuring that contracts are completed on time and within cost, in accordance with health and safety regulations, and to the standards of workmanship required by the company and its customers.

Duties include:

* Check that the site/site office is organised to handle administration and operating requirements, and is kept clean and tidy at all times.
* To be responsible for effective and efficient delivery of site activities that meets the needs and objectives of the company.
* To review all project requirements as per agreed programme and specification.
* On a regular basis monitor and inspect the quality and progress of all subcontractors' work including builders/carpentry and Electrical works, and where it fails to meet requirements ensure it is rectified promptly.

* Inspect and pass all subcontracted work before signing completion certificates.
* Make sure that all site personnel, including main contractors and subcontractors, comply with health, safety, environmental and CDM regulations, and with the company's code of practice.
* Ensure that all specified inspections are carried out as scheduled, rectify any snags and maintain a record of causes and actions taken.
* Monitor progress of contract against dates targeted for valuations, commissioning, handover to client, to ensure that status and condition of installation will meet requirements.
* Attend site meetings with the various trades to prevent any co-ordination problems.
* To work closely with clients in ensuring their requirements are met or exceeded, attend progress meetings, record details, take appropriate action and record results.
* Take appropriate action to deal with any day-to-day work problems but contact the Project Manager/Engineer without delay on any matter requiring their advice, decision or action.

Ideally you will come from an M&E sub contractual background with a good understanding of residential.

Position Description:
Thermal Systems Engineer (TSE) to undertake analytical, and/or vehicle-based development & sign-off testing of engine cooling performance and total vehicle thermal management for Commercial Vehicles.

Skills Required:
Working knowledge of heat transfer and fluid flow theory. Good oral and written communication skills required. Wide range of PC skills, MS applications, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years of development experience within the automotive industry.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of any of the following CAE codes, and their automotive applications, would be a distinct advantage: "RadTherm", "Uh3D", "Fluent".

Education Required:
Experience will be considered over education.

Education Preferred:
