The Position
Our client, a thriving industrial electrical manufacturer, is seeking a Contract Engineer to produce layout drawings, wiring diagrams, other general drawings and manage contracts associated with the manufacture and supply of panels for its various customers. There will be an approximate 30:70 ratio of design to project management content in the position as explained below.

The Person
We would be pleased to receive applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience in HV & LV protection systems ranging from 11kV to 275kV gained in an electricity company environment would be highly desirable.
• Alternatively an electrical CAD technician with basic electrical engineering experience (see Training below).
• Although a suitable qualification in electrical or power engineering would be a distinct advantage, relevant experience would also be a major consideration.
• Have a working knowledge of CAD (preferably Autocad).

You will be required to produce general arrangement drawings and wiring diagrams from customer specifications and circuit diagrams. The contracts will be based on industry standards for each application and varied to account for specific requirements on a project. You may also be required to get involved in the testing of the panels in works or on site if appropriate.

The design aspect will only be part of your overall responsibility of simultaneously managing multiple contracts for different customers. This will involve specification, procurement, coordination and project management roles. You will deal with customers, suppliers, contractors and in house personnel as necessary so their contracts are completed to the meet customers’ quality and timing requirements within set budgets.

Training
Training can be provided by the company for candidates that are proficient electrical CAD technicians, in which case there would be a clear pathway to Contract Engineer level. Progression to this level however would depend on individual ability and aptitude.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for

· Servicing, Maintaining and Repair Commercial Gas Heating

· Reactive Maintenance and breakdown on Commercial Gas Heating

· Carrying Out PPM on Commercial Gas Heating

Preferred Skills:

· ACS Commercial Gas Tickets CODNCO1, CCN1, CIGA1

· Experience Attending and carrying out diagnostics & repairs on Commercial Gas Heating

· Previous Maintenance experience on Commercial Gas Heating

Manual Miller



Manual Miller / Manual Machinist is required by successful, busy, specialised precision engineering company to machine components to precision limits, using manual mills.

This is working mainly prototype and low volume high precision runs, including Inspecting your own work.



Manual Miller duties to include:

* Manual machining on both mills and drilling to produce components for special purpose machinery etc.

* To produce one off and multiple parts to drawings.

* Report to machine shop supervisor directly.

* Team player.

* Health and safety aware.



Qualification Requirements:

* To ideally be a time served mechanical engineer trained in machine shop technology and working practices.

* City and Guilds or equivalent.



Location: Harlow, Essex.

Rate Guide: £10.00 - £11.00 p/hr

Temporary position.

Standard Hours: 39 per week. Monday to Friday (Early finish on a Friday)
