We are currently recruiting for Structural Engineer to undertake the design, supervision, management and negotiations culminating in sound structural solutions.
-Production of relevant drawings as required.
-Design sound economical structural solutions whilst working within a team environment, with external consultants or independently.
-Effective use of CAD facilities.
-Carry out all aspects of cost effective structural engineering design in relation to company projects and activities.
-Use of available technology to improve best working practices.
-Assess site investigations and make other departments aware of potential risks and relevant solutions.
-Assess proposed sites including arranging site investigation work to enable proposals for foundation design to be made.
-Ensure all departments are fully aware of implications of design and structural issues.
-Arrange and attend meetings as necessary to deal with structural queries and problems.
-Communicate, liaise and arrange a meeting meeting’s with NHBC and Local Authorities where structural engineering matters require the necessary approvals.
-Undertake site inspections as and when required concerning structural items.
-Commission external consultants when necessary in relation to specific works (I.e. Bore holes, ground treatments, materials testing, piling designs).
-Prepare tender packages for specialist design.
-Check and approve specialist details.
-Manage and liaise with other departments with regards to after-sale problems
-Inspect and report on the any problems relating to structural matters.
-Deal with structural queries related to historic sites.
-Inspect of remedial works as and when requested.
-Attend pre start and other departmental meetings as required.
-Ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of key departmental developments.
-Compliance with Health and Safety at all times.
