Account Assistant / Administrator Witham, Essex £10,000 - 2-3 days a week
Small Underwriters based in Witham, Essex have a new part time role working within their Accounts department. This is a part time role to support the Accounts Manager based in our Witham office, providing exceptional support to the team and clients by ensuring the smooth running of finance activity.
* Calculating money owed, including any interest or late fee, producing, and sending debit notes for payment.
* Monitoring bank accounts for incoming payments from Brokers and allocating accordingly.
* Reviewing statements from Insurers and making relevant payments.
* Chasing brokers via phone and email for due and overdue premiums and submitting overdue payment statistics to the Accounts Manager.
* Producing and issuing monthly statements to brokers
* Countersigning bank account reconciliation
* You will have exceptional attention to detail and be passionate about delivering exceptional service.
* You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
* You will have experience working with Microsoft Excel and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
* Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but isn't essential.
* The ability to think outside of the existing processes, and the confidence to provide suggestions of how to improve and streamline activities.
