Accounts Manager - VR/22706
Our client are a leading accountants company who provide a full range of accountancy, tax and business services, and they are currently looking for a new Accountants Manager to join their team in Chelmsford.
Duties and Responsibilities of this role:
Managing workloads and deadlines for portfolio of UK based businessesManaging and assisting junior members of the teamAbility to self-motivate and work independentlyLiaise with the Directors to ensure that the flow of client work is timely and efficient.
Preparing and timely filing of all statutory accounting and tax obligations to a point ready for director reviewRaising appropriate queries with the client to ensure that the accounts and tax returns are accurateCarry out prior year analysis to compare accounts for obvious variances and raise these with the clientPreparing client correspondence to explain year on year variances and HMRC liabilitiesCompiling and presenting reports, budgets, commentaries and management informationProviding tax and accounting advice with reference to current legislationMeeting and interviewing clientsTo strive to provide a world class serviceManage all aspects of accounting, financial control and tax compliance for a portfolio of UK based businesses.Manage ad hoc projects in relation to cloud based solutions, development of reporting and advice on business development.Ensuring commercial awareness at all times, including timeframes for completion of assignments and timely billing of completed assignments.
Assisting with developing the Practice, to gain new clients and recognise opportunities for new work within the existing client portfolioAttend meetings and contribute to company strategyAssist in the promotion and development of the business in accordance with the agreed business strategy

Benefits of this role:
Salary £40-42K DOE
Our client offers hybrid working arrangements, as well as flexible working hours if necessary. The holiday allowance is 25 days per year, plus bank holidays, plus 3 days between Christmas and New Year.
Our client also has a monthly team get together in work time, always something non-work related and fully funded by them. Recent team events have included afternoon tea, a trip to Hyde Hall and the Aquapark at Mersea
