My client is a growing multi academy Trust, currently looking to add a management accountant to their Trust Head office team as a result of new schools coming under their stewardship.

Working within the team, this role will chiefly pair with 2 schools in the group, ensuring that the Trust CFO, individual school leaders and Trustees are kept informed of financial performance of their schools through regular preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly management accounts. You’ll assist in budget and forecasting process to ensure that individual schools budgets are designed to facilitate Senior Leadership teams plans for their schools development. You’ll bring a commercial insight too, looking at ways of maximising return on spend and how funds could be generated. As a prominent member of the finance team, you’ll be involved in creating and delivering the Trusts vision, raising standards, working with the team to develop and implement improved systems and processes which support all schools.

Applications are sought from candidates who have worked within a schools or academies setting, ideally able to bring forward ideas and experiences of school finance to help guide the development of the new schools.  AAT or SBM qualifications would be a huge advantage.  Gravitas and professional credibility will be important, as the ability to form good relationships with senior teams is essential.  Due to he occasional need to visit local schools, a full driving license is preferred.
