Senior Wordings Specialist

A global Fortune 500 company with 62 offices in 20 countries who provides coverage for hard-to-place risks that generally do not fit in the underwriting criteria of standard insurance carriers, and offers specialty insurance for a variety of niche businesses across the globe.
About the Role:
·Work with overseas and regional offices
·Assist in the development of a Wordings Library
·Assist in the protocol for amendments and development of Wordings
·Support the long term, profitable growth of underwriting
·Act as a bridge between the Divisions and support units
·Promote the appropriate use of data and technology
·Develop the wordings strategy in conjunction with the Wordings Manager and underwriting teams.
·Develop and manage a wordings repository containing an up to date suite of agreed wordings for all business lines.
·Continue the development and implementation of the use of technology to perform a checking service for wordings.
·Evolve and maintain management information in support of the wordings strategy.
·Work with the Project Team to implement a new Software for a Wordings Library
·Work with overseas / regional offices / underwriters to develop products and knowledge across all classes of the business
Additional responsibilities include:
·To provide advocacy support in handling broker negotiations with the Underwriters.
·Checking, proof reading, approving policy wordings including negotiating with brokers as required.
·Liaise with the divisions underwriters where appropriate to check insurance documentation.
·To support the Wordings Manager to:
oEstablish and maintain working relationships with the other business partners
oMeasure and report progress against all strategic, tactical and operational objectives.
Key Skills, knowledge and experience
·Experience working within the London insurance market.
·Experience of open market wordings.
·Experience of treaty reinsurance wordings, or be willing to undertake training.
·Use of Wordings Libraries
·Understanding and experience of UAT with new software and software updates
·Good communication skills.
