Collections Agent (Debt Management)

• Salary: £23,000 per annum with a £5k quarterly bonus and competitive benefits

• Job Title: Permanent

As a Collections Agent, you will be working closely with our customers who have fallen into arrears. The purpose of this role is to regain engagement with our customers and determine solutions to resolve and recover monies owed, in a swift and timely manner.

You must be a natural at building relationships and analysing information as you will be responsible for implementing affordable solutions, which continue until the end of the arrangements lifespan.

Description:

• Working with customers to understand their needs and ensure that the right solutions are sought for the right customers;

• The ability to think fast and stand out from the crowd.

• Manage a caseload of clients, by providing appropriate advice and assistance in accordance with regulatory standards and internal

quality requirements;

• Negotiating settlements and repayment options which will provide first call solutions;

• Maintaining customer agreements, including chasing of failed arrangements;

• Working within a team environment, building relationships and rapport with both colleagues and customers;

• Pro-actively engaging with debtors to ensure timely resolution and informing them of next options/steps;

• Resolving complex queries;

• Process cases in a timely and cost-effective basis;

• Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and regulatory bodies and adhering to company policies and procedures;

• Working hours: shift pattern to provide around the clock customer service, Monday to Sunday (which may include Bank/Public Holidays),

based on an average 38 hours a week
